This page sets out which personal data passes through gamblingbet.co.uk, for what purpose and which choices you have, cookies included.
The controller

What we collect
With no sign-up, comment box, mailing list or push alerts on the site, only two kinds of personal data come our way: the server's technical trace of each visit (IP number, browser and device, requested URL, referrer, timestamp) and whatever you put in an email to us, plus the sending address.
Why, and on what basis
We use server records to deliver and protect the site, find faults and count visits and outbound clicks in totals. The lawful basis is our legitimate interest in keeping a working, protected site. Emails are used to reply and to document corrections, again as a legitimate interest, or to take steps you asked for. We do not sell personal data, profile visitors for advertising or make automated decisions about anyone.
Cookies
The site does not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel or any advertising cookie. Our server sets the following cookies, all first-party:
- mz_vid — random browser ID that lets us count distinct visitors; lasts 365 days.
- mz_src — notes the channel of arrival (typed address, search, referring site); lasts 30 days.
- mozbiz_session and XSRF-TOKEN — created by the /go/ redirect alone, routing it and guarding against forged requests; both lapse within about 20 hours.
Wiping them or switching them off in the browser leaves every page fully readable. Casinos reached through /go/ apply separate cookie rules of their own.
Recipients
Our hosting and network providers process server data on our instructions. A casino reached through /go/ is told only that GamblingBet referred the visit. We disclose data to police, regulators or courts only when legally obliged. Where a provider handles data outside the UK, we rely on adequacy regulations or standard contractual safeguards.
Retention
Server logs are overwritten on a short rolling cycle unless needed to investigate an attack. Emails stay on file while a query is live and afterwards only as long as needed to evidence a correction.
Your rights
The UK GDPR entitles you to see your data, to fix or delete it, a restriction on its use, or object to our use of it. Send requests to [email protected]; we answer within one month. If you are unhappy with our reply you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Under-18s
GamblingBet is meant for adult readers; information about children is never knowingly gathered.
