Affiliate disclosure

On this page
GamblingBet.co.uk is free to read because casinos pay us when a reader we send them opens an account. That is the whole business model, and you should know it before you click a button on any of our pages. This page explains how the arrangement works, where it shows up on the site and where it stops. It sits alongside our site disclaimer, terms and privacy policy, and should be read with them.
Who earns the money
The site is published by Lodestrait Media Limited, Ocean Spa Plaza, Ocean Village, Gibraltar GX11 1AA. Lodestrait has affiliate agreements with some of the casinos licensed by the Gambling Commission that we cover. Under those agreements the operator pays us a fee when a visitor who arrived through one of our links registers and makes a deposit. Depending on the contract, the fee is a one-off amount per new player, a share of the revenue that player generates over time, or a mix of the two.
We do not take payment for reviews, we do not sell positions in a table to the highest bidder and we never take stakes, hold player funds or run games ourselves. GamblingBet is a publisher, not a gambling operator.
It costs you nothing extra
The commission comes out of the operator's marketing budget. Signing up through our link does not change the price of anything, the size of a deposit or the terms of a welcome offer. Where an operator gives us an offer that is better than the one on its own homepage, we say so on the page; where the offer is the standard one, we say that too.
Where the paid links are
Any link that can earn us money runs through an address that starts with /go/ on our own domain, followed by the casino's name. You will find them on:
- the casino tables and comparison boards on our hub pages;
- the "Visit site" and "Claim offer" buttons in reviews and bonus pages;
- casino names in guides, when the sentence is about joining or playing at that casino.
Links to the Gambling Commission register, GAMSTOP, GamCare, BeGambleAware, game studios, testing labs and news sources are ordinary links. Nobody pays us for them and they never pass through /go/. If you would rather not use an affiliate link at all, type the casino's address into your browser yourself; everything we say about it still applies.
Partners in tables and highlighted spots
Most of the casinos in our tables are partners, because the operators willing to pay for players tend to be the ones we review. Partnership is not the entry ticket, though. To appear in a table at all, an operator has to hold a current Gambling Commission licence and pass the checks listed in how we rate. A partner that fails a check comes off the table even if the contract stays in place, and a casino that loses its licence is removed whatever it pays.
Some boxes on the site are marked as featured or highlighted. Those are editorial choices based on a specific feature the page is about, such as low minimum deposits or fast withdrawals, and the reason is written next to the casino's name.
How we keep the scores honest
The people who score casinos do not see commission rates, and the scoring sheet has no line for them. Scores are built from things a reader can check: the licence on the register, the welcome offer and its wagering terms, payment methods and their limits, withdrawal times, safer gambling tools and the quality of support. The method is published on how we rate, and every review states the date it was last checked.
When a commercial relationship changes, the review does not. When the casino changes, the review does. If you think a page reads like an advert rather than an assessment, tell us and we will look at it again.
Your part
Operators change their offers, terms and payment rules more often than any guide can follow. Before you deposit, read the casino's own terms and the conditions of any bonus on its site, and check that it appears on the Gambling Commission register. You must be 18 or over to gamble in Great Britain. Set a deposit limit before you start, and if gambling stops being fun, our safer gambling page lists the tools and the free National Gambling Helpline, 0808 8020 133.
Changes to this page
We update this disclosure when the way we earn money changes, and the date at the top of the page shows the latest revision. Earlier versions are available on request.
